We’re thrilled to announce that CODA Studios Ltd has been shortlisted in this year’s Northern Design Awards. We’re proud to be finalists in two categories that celebrate design excellence across the region.
We’ve been nominated for our work on The Saplings, Altrincham. This development is a textbook example of merging high-end contemporary living with contextual sensitivity. Working alongside PIC Homes, we delivered a collection of homes whose architecture responds to its setting through careful materiality, generous glazing, and considered spatial layout.
The Saplings features a robust palette of natural stonework, soft brick textures and dark framed windows that reflect the local vernacular while subtly elevating it. Inside, open-plan living spaces flow into landscaped gardens, and bespoke joinery offers a refined finish throughout. Our team’s aim was to create a development that doesn’t just stand out, but sits naturally in its context and brings long-term value to residents.
In addition to the project nomination, we’re delighted to be shortlisted for the overall practice category. This recognition reflects our commitment to design rigour, collaboration and the delivery of meaningful architecture across residential builds, extensions and bespoke homes.
The Northern Design Awards bring together some of the most inspiring architecture, interior design and property professionals in the North of England. To be recognised among such talent is truly an honour.
