CODA Studios has moved to a new office in Sheffield city centre.

Due to continued expansion and growth, we have recently relocated to new offices in the Sellers Wheel development at Arundel Street, in the heart of the city and just a short walk from Sheffield Station.

“We have been based in Kelham Island almost from our start and have been instrumental in the development of that area to the exciting commercial and hospitality hub that it has become today,” said CODA managing director Matt Bowker.

“We are also extremely proud of our Manchester office and the projects that are being generated by our team there, not just for the north west but also nationally.

“As our business has continued to grow, though, we became increasingly aware of the fact that we needed a new head office space in which we could take CODA to the next level.

“As soon as we saw the Sellers Wheel office we knew it was ideal for us for, just like Kelham Island, it fits in with our ethos of repurposing existing buildings for new use.”

Sellers Wheel is a mixed use development that includes office space, a successful cafe, small businesses and a range of apartments.

“It’s a great energy efficient space which works very well for us and also reduces our carbon footprint,” said CODA Bespoke director Abel Hinchliffe.

“We like the space because it is the sort of scheme that we have championed for many years now.

“And it also brings us right to the heart of Sheffield which is exactly where we want to be and which, from the response we have had up to now, is a move which everybody is really positive about.

“Thanks to the wealth of talent within the CODA Studios family, we work on a diverse range of projects to deliver a client-focused service at all stages of the property lifecycle.

“We also offer a multidisciplinary set of skills with the dedicated, innovative approach of a small practice and within our new, more collaborative space, we believe we can deliver even more for our clients.

“It means too that CODA Architecture and CODA Bespoke are able to work side by side and in an atmosphere that inspires creativity.”

Matt added: “Our new proximity to Sheffield’s railway and bus stations and also the ease of access from the M1 to the city centre makes it an ideal central location for our many clients nationally.

“And I think, just as in Kelham Island, that our presence here will help give this increasingly popular part of the city centre a much greater profile.

“We continue to champion Kelham Island and have projects coming to fruition right now but at the same time this is the right moment to re-position ourselves as a major part of the wider Sheffield and South Yorkshire business community and also remind people that we are a practice with a great national portfolio.”
