This year’s shortlisting celebrates our work on the Ardwick Green development, delivered in collaboration with our fantastic client Step Places and main contractor AEDI Construction. The project comprises sixteen low carbon back to back homes, designed to introduce an innovative housing typology that brings high density living to a city fringe location while maintaining excellent access to city centre amenities and national sustainable transport links.
Each home offers EPC A performance, supported by air source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, a high insulation fabric and electric vehicle charging. The scheme demonstrates what can be achieved when sustainability, placemaking and modern living are placed at the heart of design.
